FatMumSlim’s Photo A Day theme for today is natural. Today’s theme was tough! There’s not much left in this world that is completely natural, so forgive me, for I am reaching a bit today.
David had asked me if I wanted to go with him to go visit a job site with him this afternoon. I jumped at the chance and off we went. We got to the fancy subdivision and he did the stuff he needed to do, then we headed for home. On the way, we went over the monster-huge dam at Lake Lanier and then David turned onto the road for Lower Pool Park. Neither of us had been there before! This is where the water comes out from the dam when the releases are done. It was neat to see the park, but what was even cooler was seeing the goats. Yep – GOATS! The Army Corp of Engineers uses a herd of goats to eat the vegetation on the very steep parts of the property. The goats were close enough to the fence where I could get a good photograph.
So how is this natural? Well, I figured that this was the most natural way to maintain, “mow” and keep up with the landscape at the dam. 🙂
